Announcement: The 2025 NEXTLAB.TECH Robotics Competition Has Launched We are pleased to announce the launch of the 2025 edition of the NEXTLAB.TECH Robotics Competition! Registrations are open until May 15, 2025. The official launch event took place on Friday, March 28, 2025, in the Aula of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), in the presence of Professor Daniel David, Minister of Education and Research in Romania. Participation is free of charge. To register, please visit: https://robo.nextlab.tech/The official competition rules can be found here: https://www.nextlab.tech/concurs/ The NEXTLAB.TECH Robotics Competition is included in the list of national school competitions to be organized and held at the national level with funding from the Ministry of Education for the 2024–2025 school year, as stated in Annex 4 of Ministerial Order No. 3.373/19.02.2025, under the section Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary School Competitions, at position no. 10. The competition is organized in accordance with the Specific Regulations for the organization and implementation of the NEXTLAB.TECH National Robotics Competition, as approved by OMECTS Order No. 3035/2012. After the selection process at the end of Phase I, based on qualification results and additional social and geographic criteria, the central competition committee will distribute the robot kits provided by the main sponsor, Banca Comercială Română (BCR). A total of 300 students will receive their free participation kit for Phase II via courier. As part of the competition, up to 50 kits will be awarded based on social inclusion criteria. Social evaluations will be conducted by the county-level organizing committees, which will provide the list of students eligible for the inclusion kits offered by the sponsors. Priority will be given to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.An effort will also be made to ensure gender balance between boys and girls.If some county committees do not submit their inclusion lists, the central committee may redistribute any remaining kits.
